No Losers...Just Winners!
4/27/2007

American Idol is all about giving back. It’s awesome to see the show using its power to raise money for so many good causes. We couldn’t help but donate! Did you? Even Simon looked moved and shocked by his trip to Africa. How could he not? It really choked us up, too. Now to the singing. The Tuesday night show was slammin’. Jordin brought down the house as usual, and everyone thinks that it will be her and Melinda in the final two. We agree! So when it came down to the elimination, imagine our surprise when it was down to Jordin and the far-less-talented Chris. When Ryan said Chris was safe, our hearts stopped! Jordin started balling. After all, she was the fave, so how could she be going home? Lucky for her, it was all a big trick on her and the American Idol audience. No one was going home! Poor Jordin is probably still recovering.

So Long Sanjaya!
4/19/2007

The show started off with a bang. Jordin was in top form and Simon finally said what we’ve been thinking all along: This girl is the next “American Idol.” Blake also wowed the audience and judges, but we expect no less from him. It was country night at the Idol, which isn’t our favorite, but we somehow got through it. The elimination show was a blast! When it was finally time to send someone packing, Ryan asked Melinda to pick which group she thought would win. And what a class act! Melinda refused to pick faves and just sat down in the middle of the stage. As great as she is, we still think Jordin has more American Idol potential. No one was surprised that Sanjaya was in the bottom three, but Blake being there? Now that was crazy! There’s no way he should go home. When they told Sanjaya he’d be the one packing his bags, he was emotional and even started crying. Good for him. Let it all out Sanjaya!

La-La-La Lopez and Goodbye Haley!
4/12/2007

What a week on American Idol!! No doubt it was all due to the fab and talented Jennifer Lopez, (who looked great by the way)! Tuesday night was fun, since the contestants looked like they were actually having a great time. And even Sanjaya did a pretty good job belting out “Besame Mucho.” Yet all was not smooth sailing. Haley was thrashed by Simon for trying to look ultra sexy in order to get votes. We agree. But hey, she’s gotta do something since her voice isn’t all that. Our boy Blake sounded amazing as usual, but it was hard to sound bad with the Latin-influenced song choices. The final showdown was an hour long. The group number to Enrique Iglesias’ “Bailamos” was a really nice way to start. And then it was time for elimination. Of course, Phil ended up in the final three and so did Chris Richardson, which was a surprise to us. But it was Haley who was shown the Idol door. It’s amazing that she stayed on as long as she did. And now there’s only 7 left!
