Pattern Play: Unexpected Guests (K-2)
Students create their own patterns and include one item in each that doesn't fit the pattern. They then work with partners or in groups to find the unexpected guests in one another's patterns.

Triangular Numbers (K-4)
In this lesson, students build triangles using Unifix cubes or other suitable equipment. They note down the number of cubes it took to build each triangle, discuss patterns and make predictions.
