Her father was connected with organized crime, and spent a lot of time in jail while Brittany was growing up. Her parents divorced when Brittany was very young. Britany made her acting/singing debut at age nine, in a regional theater production of “Les Miserables.” She appeared in television commercials for Pizza Hut and Skittles at age 13. In 1991, Brittany made her television acting debut in a situation comedy called “Blossom.” “Clueless” was her first in a long series of successful movies. Brittany has acted in more than 25 films, including “Girl, Interrupted,” “Riding in Cars with Boys” (2001) “8 Mile,” “Uptown Girls” (2003) and “Sin City” (2005). She is also in demand as a voice-over talent. Brittany is the voice of Luanne Platter on “King of the Hill,” an animated series that has been running for 10 years on the Fox network, and she will play the voice of “Tinkerbell” in a Walt Disney movie scheduled for release in 2007.
