Select a Language
Now you can learn a new language with ALFY as you navigate through the site. On the ALFY home page, there is a new Select a Language option in the rainbow. Simply click on it and choose the language of your choice. Listen to the voices on ALFY in a new language as you read along in English.

ALFY’s Election Section
In the new Election Section within ALFY’s Surprises, students will have fun learning about the upcoming elections. They will enjoy playing games and reading interesting texts about the White House, elections, the presidency and the current presidential candidates.

ALFY's Award Maker
Use the new Award Maker application in the Communication channel to reward your students with personalized certificates. Simply select a border and a subject area, enter your student's name, and the ALFY Award maker will put it all together on a certificate that your students will love.

Lesson Plans
Need some fresh ideas for your new social studies unit? Want to view lesson plans posted by other teachers? You can do all this and more, when you search ALFY's lesson archive. Enter one or more subject areas from the menu provided and a list of related lessons, sorted by grade level, will appear. You can also use this application to view your saved lesson plans.

Lesson Builder
Writing your next lesson plan is as easy as filling out the lesson plan template in ALFY's Lesson Builder. Once you are finished, you can save and print your lesson plan. You also have the option of posting it in the Lesson Plan section for other teachers to view.

Age Appropriateness Monitor
For your convenience, ALFY has added a monitor to the top left corner of the computer screen to inform you of an activity's intended age group. Simply roll your mouse over any ALFY activity and these icons will tell you whether that activity is suitable for young kids, older kids, or all kids.
Educational Value Button
ALFY's activities are not only fun, but also educational! The Educational Value button, which can be found on the left menu bar on every page, lists the specific learning outcomes for each activity on ALFY. These outcomes are based on the California and Florida state curriculum standards. Please note that you must first select an activity before using this new feature. |

ALFY's Fort
In this interactive tale, children can help ALFY build a fort out of ordinary objects in his bedroom and help ALFY's sister, Ashley, prepare a healthy snack. With a little imagination, the fort can be transformed into a castle in the middle of a magical forest. Accompany ALFY and Ashley on their journey through this enchanted place, and enjoy the sights and sounds of the different forest creatures they encounter along the way.
